Mug Brownie (Eggless)

This instant and easy recipe makes a moist brownie in less than 5 minutes and fulfills all sweet chocolate cravings. The recipe uses microwave for baking which makes this an instant dessert recipe.

Ingredients

  • Canola oil  - 1 1/2 tablespoon [Calories = 186]
  • Water - 2 tablespoon
  • Vanilla extract - 1 drop (optional)
  • Salt - 1 dash
  • Instant coffee powder - 1 pinch (optional)
  • Granulated sugar - 1 1/2 leveled tablespoon [Calories = 72]
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder - 2 leveled tablespoon [Calories = 24]
  • All purpose flour - 2 leveled tablespoon [Calories = 56]
  • Crushed walnuts (optional)

Procedure

  1. In a mug, mix oil, water salt and coffee (if using) and whisk well till a smooth mixture is formed.
  2. Add the cocoa powder and whisk well again. 
  3. Add the sugar and whisk well. 
  4. Add the flour and whisk well.

  5. Sprinkle walnuts on the top.

  6. Microwave for 60-75 seconds. The time may vary according to the power of microwave. In a 1000watt microwave, it takes 80 secs for a molten form brownie and 160 seconds for uniformly cooked.
  7. Best served mildly warm with vanilla ice cream. Note: Brownie will be too hot when taken out from the microwave.  Let it cool slightly before serving.
